What type of health issues have arisen in your kittens after adoption and how did you support the family through the issue?

We welcome this question, but it will be one an backyard breeder will probably recite word for word if we post it here, so ask during a visit. The one I will post is we were contacted by someone who had a limping cat that thought it was arthritis, however it stopped after a few days. And we did ask them to keep us in the loop and let them know it would be covered in their health guarantee.

We spend sometimes dozens of hours with individual families after kittens go home. As you can see, I research and spend hours writing about subjects. Aftercare is one of the main reasons we get many repeat adopters. It’s also the reason I can’t mentor all the hundreds of adopters of backyard breeder cats who can’t get in touch with their breeder of crippled cats. My time is reserved for families that did their research and went with us. We always tell people as they are walking out the door with a kitten to e-mail us any questions they have and I will probably write them a book on the subject. We have a packet of common questions I send home with adopters and I’m always happy to add new info to it when I get a really good question from someone.
